SCHOOL STRIKE
OTHER PUPILS LEAVE PARENTS SUPPORT PROTEST Auckland, June 27. A decision to support the Bennydale miners in the strike of their children at the Mangapehi school was reached by Mangapehi households, and their children collected their books and returned home. The school is now closed Reasons for the strike have been given in a statement by the chairman of the Mangapehi School Committee Mr R. W. Naylor. The incident was stated to be a protest against the failure to provide a school in the Bennydale district.
