MOTUPIPI W.D.F.U.
The monthly meeting of the Motupipi branch of the W.D.F.U. was held in the schoolroom, there being a fair attendance of members. Correspondence was dealt with and accounts passed for payment. It was decided that members contribute as convenient to a National Savings account trust fund. Mrs Humphreys to be trustee. The president ! <Mrs Humphreys) gave a report on the annual meeting of the Golden Bay provincial executive held in Takaka. Mrs Forman donated a points prize for the end of the year for a monthly competition of "The best bloom in my garden.” Competitions were won as follows: I Mystery parcel. Mrs Cross; best paper ! hat. Mrs Hart; laundered serviette, Mrs
[ At next meeting the hostesses will be Mrs Cross, ,and Mrs Forman; and the competition, “best darn in sock or stocking.” The roll call will be: “An article suitable for a soldier's parcel,” to be made into a parcel and sent to a local lonely soldier.
