FRANCE AND NORWAY [British Official Wireless] (Rec. noon) Rugby, May 15. The total British and Imperial troops sent to France in June, 1940, was 437,000, and to Norway 23,800, the Financial Secretary to the War Office, stated in the House of Commons. The number returned from France, including wounded brought away, was 384,000, and from Norway 22,600. The number left in France as prisoners of war was 40.000 and in Norway 950.
