MAYOR WOULD HAVE THEM HANGED PROFITEERING AT EXPENSE OF HOMELESS (U.P.A.-By Electric Telegraph-Copyright) (Received 7th December, 2.10 p.m.) LONDON. 6th December. “I would have many Birmingham landlords hanged,” said the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Sir Percy Bower. “Landlords are profiteering so much at the expense of the homeless that I have called a special meeting to check their activities.”
