The newspaper “Ya” says that Marshal Petaln is expected to be installed at Versailles on 15th December. German troops are already evacuating it. It is certain that Marshal Petain is ex- ; peeled to meet King Leopold as a result ‘j of the latter’s talk with Hitler in November when Hitler laid down that small nations like Belgium, having vast colonial empires, must pay for their protection and future peace. Between now and the spring Germany absolutely needs efficient productive collaboration in southern Europe.
