J VICTORY BEAT HOSPITAL [ In the junior cricket match played at Stoke on Saturday Victory defeated Hospital by 48 runs on the first innings. Details:— Hospital, first innings, 54—Thomas 15 and Gates 11. Bowling for Victory: Taylor took five wickets for 27 runs, Holland thi*ec for 17. Victory, first innings. 112—McNamara 38. Sexton 16, Holland 15, Allan 14. Bowling for Hospital: Vercoe took four wickets for 20 runs. Gates three for 47, Winnie two for 20. Hibbert one for 16. Hospital, second innings, seven for 58 —McMurray, not out 18, Kerr 14 Bowling for Victory: Taylor took four wickets for 25 runs, Mellor two for 11. The hospitality of the Hospital Club in providing afternoon tea was much appreciated by the Victoi*y players.
