SMASH AND GRAB CASE
THEFT FROM WELLINGTON JEWELLERS I United Press Association! WELLINGTON. 10th June. Early this morning a smash and grab raid was made in the Willis street premises of J. B. Lauchlan Ltd., watchmakers and jewellers. Between 15 and 20 watches were stolen. The thief or thieves apparently kicked the window in, making a hole big enough to insert an arm. The window does not face the pavement, and it was 8.30 o’clock before the discovery was made. This makes the ninth occasion in two years or so that one or other of the firm’s shops have been broken into with theft.
