GAIETIES’ FAREWELL TO-NIGHT
ENTIRELY NEW PRODUCTION—"LIFE BEGINS AT 8” MOST POPULAR IN REPERTOIRE Another large audience greeted the second and finl performance of “Let's Go Hunting,” by Stanley McKay’s Gaieties Revue Company at the Majestic Theatre last night, and for to-night's farewell performance an entirely new production, “Life Begins at 8.” will be presented.
Mr McKay assures the public that this revue is one of the most popular in the company’s repertoire, and was the opening attraction in Christchurch, Auckland. Dunedin and Wellington. The very amusing sketches will include "Oh! Those Taxes,” and “The Boat Sails on Tuesday,” by Stan Foley and other members of the company, and “I love those short packs” by Scotty McKinnon and others. Nellie Kolle will feature “Take me back to Piccadilly,” and the popular personality girl, Stella Lamond,” will include “Maxie! You Imp of Mischief,” amongst her contributions. Seats may be reserved without extra charge at the Majestic Sweets Shop. As per advertisement, Blenheim will be visited next Friday, Saturday and Monday. The public of Nelson and Marlborough have to thank Mr McKay for bringing his company to Nelson and Blenheim, thereby providing a treat for all lovers of the real stage. To most people the opportunity of seeing a juggler of George Hurd’s calibre would come only once in a lifetime.
