SATURDAY’S PLAY The Takaka Bowling Green was in excellent condition on Saturday and some enjoyable games were played. In the semi-final singles championship E Scott defeated W. Peacock. 20-17. In the junior championship E. Emms defeated G. Boyes, 26-19; and defeated P. Wood, 23-20. In the friendly games. Rose. Hitchcock and Murray <s> 14; Alyward, F. Page and R. Kirk (s> 20. Norris and Newton (s) 15, lost to J. Page and P. Port (s) 29.
