Two prisoners responsible for attacks on warders at Bathurst gaol were each sentenced to twenty-eight days’ solitary confinement, and the third prisoner was sentenced to ten days’ solitary confinement. The prisoners who created disturbances last week have been removed to other prisons throughout the State. The hunger-strike ended when the prisoners realised that the authorities would not take any notice of their refusal to eat.
