NELSON DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB 1 P.. INWOOD IN GOOD FORM Last Saturday the Nelson Defence Rifle Club fired the first stage of the i Club Championship over 500 and 600 yard ranges. The scores also count for 1 « home and home match with the Randwick Rifle Club, Sydney. Weather conditions were good for shooting except lor a bad light at 600 yards which gave trouble to a number of competitors. Rifleman R. Inwood succeeded in reaching the standard at both ranges and wins his second leg-in for the president’s trophy. He also takes the A .grade feathers. The B grade feathers go to R. Coote. Next Saturday the Club will fire a ten-shot practice shoot over 300 and 500 yard ranges. Details of scores:—
