ACCIDENT IN COBB VALLEY
NELSON MAN’S HAND SEVERELY INJURED Mr C. J. Wilkens, of Tipahi streeT ; j Nelson, suffered a painful accident when employed on the Cobb Valley hydro-electric works on Wednesday when he had his left hand caught in a winch. As a result he had the thumb, first and middle fingers amputated, also the top of the third finger. Nelson Hospital reported to-day that he was making good progress.
