BLOMFIELD DEFEATS MOEN I United Ihese Association! NEW PLYMOUTH, 7th September. In the most hectic wrestling bout seen in Hawera for two years. Lofty Blomfield beat Andy Moen (Minnesota) on points to-night. MocL Tytained a fall after a body press in the second round, and Blomfield equalised with a submission fall from an octopus clamp in the seventh round. NUMA DISQUALIFIED CHRISTCHURCH, 7th September. In the sixth round of an eight-round wrestling contest to-night between Leo Numa and Pat Fraley, both 16st, Numa was disqualified for punching after 1 being warned by the referee earlier in the bout. Each had a fall to his credit, Numa ! gaining the first in the third round j with a hammer throw and Fraley j equalising with a fall from a flying J toe-hold in the fifth round.
