The annual report stated : 1 be club entered the senior and junior team in the N’.C.C.A. competition and al though neither team attained championship standard, on the whole they both did creditably. Ihe senior team, captained by R. \ ass, were runners-up in the senior grade. The junior team, captained by D. Bray, were sixth out of 9 in the junior grade 1 lie winner of the Baigent Cups, for bowling were: Senior, R. V ass, average 26.36 ; junior, It. Bruy, average 11.42. friendly matches: The junior team : a: the Park on Labour Day. In April the club held an end-of-sea sun social which was poorly attended, only 14 turning up, owing to the inclemency of the weather. Obituary: It is with the deepest regret that 1 have to report the death of one ul the older vice-presidents of the club, the late Mr I. A. 11. Held, who passed away in November, 1957. We also record the passing of Mr H. Neale who was lor many years a vice-president of the dub.
