LOYALIST RESISTANCE
BETTER ORGANISED AND STIFFER (Received 30th March, 12.25 p.m.) LONDON, 29th March. The Hendaye correspondent of “The Times” says that t.fter several days’ steady retreat the Loyalists’ resistance to the rebels is better organised and stiffer as the battlefront approaches Barcelona. Fierce fighting proceeds in the Lerida and Fraga area and South Alcaniz, both vital spots.
