TAHUNANUI TOWN BOARD
FORTNIGHTLY MEETING The fortnightly meeting of the Tahunanui Town Board was attended by Mr M. O’Sullivan (chairman), Messrs C. Chamberlain, C. Palmer, and T. Roberts.
Accounts amounting to £B9 were passed for payment. A blue print and covering letter from Mr Cooper was received in connection with the proposed water supply scheme. It was resolved that footpath formation along Main road to the toe of the hill near Mrs Maxwell’s, be made, with provision for 12 feet width as far as practicable.
In connection with a circular from the Transport Department, regarding the Road Safety Campaign, it was resolved that posters be displayed in shops of business areas. It was decided that a letter of acknowledgment be forwarded to Mr Bredbury in reference to the donation towards th; formation of a footpath in Muritai street.
