A. AND P. ASSOCIATION

THE ANNUAL SHOW AT RICHMOND PARK TO-MORROW The Nelson A. and P. Association’s forty-fifth annual Show opens at Richmond Park to-morrow, and it is hoped that fine weather conditions will prevail for the year’s big occasion in the. life of Nelson district’s farming community. Entries for the Show in the aggregate have increased by J 66. the total being 2473 as against 2307 last year. A special feature of this year’s programme will be the wood chopping events which arc catalogued for the first time, and which have brought in the two classes concerned a total entry of 31. The first day, to-morrow, will be occupied with the judging of the various sections, cattle, pigs, sheep, etc., and the industrial, farm and garden, domestic, and school work classes. On the second day, People’s Day, the light horses will be judged, and the sheep dog trials, whippet racing and other attractions should provide fne public with plenty of interest. The numerous side shows always associated with the function will no douot find a good measure or patronage and popularity. The 12th Regimental Band will be in attendance on Saturday. The usual trade displays will be a feature of the Show, and will give an indication of what is most modern and progressive in industry. Special train and bus timetables operate for the occasion from Nelson and country districts.
