ACCIDENT AT NORMANBY BRIDGE
CAR AND CYCLE IN COLLISION YOUTH SUFFERS BROKEN THIGH At about 6.45 o’clock last evening an accident occurred at the city end of the Normanby bridge as a result of which a youth named William Mauchiine, aged 17 years, of Halifax street, was admitted to the Public Hospital suffering from a broken thigh. Mauchiine was riding a cycle down Tasman street, and turned up on to the bridge when he came into collision with a car driven by Andrew Stagg, of Tahunanui, who was proceeding in a westerly direction. The Hospital reported to-day that the youth's condition was satisfactory.
