PROPOSED LEGISLATION
CONSIDERED BY GOVERNMENT CAUCUS MEASURES TO BE INTRODUCED SHORTLY [From Our Own Parliamentary Reporter] WELLINGTON, This Day. Proposed legislation was considered by Government members at the usual weekly Caucus this morning, Bills approved being the Sale of Wool Bill, which seeks to do away with what is known as the draft allowance on wool, measures dealing with the control of the military forces and civil aviation, a Broadcasting Amendment Bill, which is concerned with the administration of commercial broadcasting, and a measure affecting the Auckland Power Eoard .vhereby voting for the election of members will be altered to conform with the municipal franchise. The legislation in connection with the sale of wool is similar to that which has been passed in several Australian States, and will introduce a reform that has been long asked for by woolgrowers. The Broadcasting Bill separates the management of the commercial side of broadcasting from general broadcasting control. The Prime Minister indicated after the Caucus that these measures would be introduced within the next few days.
