EXTRAORDINARY SCENES AT CANBERRA ACCUSATION AGAINST PRIME MINISTER [United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright] (Received 11th September, 2 p.m.) CANBERRA, This Day. Repeated charges by Mr Ward that Mr J. A. Lyons, Prime Minister, and other members of the Government had suppressed the discovery of flow of oil in New Guinea led to extraordinary scenes in the House of Representatives. When the Speaker ruled that he had no power to suspend Mr Ward for the accusation, the House ,on the motion of the Prime Minister, dissented from the ruling and Mr Ward was excluded after a party division. The Speaker fixed the period of suspension at a week.
