A stir m cricket circles has arisen over a reported utterance by Dr Robertson, chairman of the Australian Board ol' Cricket Control, who said he feared that English cricket: never in his time would reach the Australian standard. D. G. Bradman. W. 11. Wood fill I and other leading cricket officials, disagree Woodfull. in an interview, deelaiecl: "Events do not bear out Dr Robertson's view. I thought the Englishmen were within an ace of victory on the last tour.” Bradman said: “The Englishmen sooner or later will win again and Australian cricket will lie all the better for it.”
