MINISTER’S REPLY
HOPES TO VISIT NELSON IN CONNECTION WITH 2ZR An intimation that the PostmasterGeneral, the Hon. F. Jones, will endeavour to visit Nelson within the next week or two in connection with station 2ZR has been received by Mr W. R. P. Jaques, secretary of the Advance Nelson Association. The Minister stated:— “I had been hopeful that, prior to the opening of Parliament, it might have been possible for me to avail myself of your cordial invitation to visit Nelson, but was unable to do so owing to my having to be in Dunedin when the Prime Minister was recently in that city and, subsequently, circumstances associated with the opening of session necessitated my presence here. However, it will be my earnest endeavour to visit Nelson within the next week or two and I shall give you notice of the date as soon as it can be definitely decided ”
