STATE CONTROL AND DIRECT MARKETING AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY’S OPPOSITION [By Telegraph - press Association] WELLINGTON. This Day. / A declaration by the Royal Agricultural Society that it was directly--op-posed to State control and the direct marketing of primary products was made at its annual conference held at Wellington. The subject was raised in a remit from the Central District Council of the society, which was carried unanimously The conference based its objection to State control on the grounds that it became autocratic and that the interests of members of the department running marketing became paramount to the detriment of all other interests
