cox beats Mclntyre [By Telegraph-Press Association] MASTERTON, This Day. “King Kong” Cox beat Mclntyre (15st 81b) by taking a submission fall with a wrist lock in the fourth round, and a fall in the sixth round with a press following dumps. Actually there was little wrestling. BLOMFIELD AND RUMBERG DRAW WANGANUI, This Day. A professional wrestling contest between Blomfield and Rumberg ended in a draw. Rumberg fully extended the New Zealander and gained a submission fall in round five. When round eight was three minutes old, Blomfield jolted Rum. berg and applied an octopus clamp and gained the equalising fall.
CONTEST AT CHRISTCHURCH
CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Forsgren drew with Spellman in a professional wrestling bout. Spellman butted the Canadian three times in the fifth round to obtain a fall, and Forsgren brought the bout to a sudden close in the eighth round with a Boston crab to which Spellman submitted.
