Broadbent, who left Darwin, yesterday in an attempt to beat Brook’s solo record for the Australia-England (light, arrived at 6.20 a.m. G.M.T. BROOK ABANDONS ATTEMPT ON OUTWARD RECORD JUBA, 28th April. H. L. Brook abandoned his attempt on the outward England-Cape record, and is going on to the Cape. After fepairs he will attempt the record on the homeward flight.
MRS BONNEY At BANGKOK
(Received 20th April, 10 35 a.m.) SINGAPORE 28th April. Mrs Bonney. who is flying from Australia to the Cape, is held up at Bangkok owing to bad weather.
