A LOSS TO THE JERSEY BREED
“Beachville Venture,” the well-known Jersey cow belonging to Mr S. H. Wearing, died of pneumonia a few days ago. This cow had a great show record, winning the Nelson Championship on four occasions—l92B, 1929, 1930. 1932 —and was also reserve champion lo Mr L. Higgins's “Waikarc Maud.” at Nelson in 1936, at the age of 14. She was also a great producing and breeding cow.
