REGRET AT INDISPOSITION REFERENCE IN COURT [United Press Association] WELLINGTON, 29th April. Expressions of regret at the indisposition of his Honour Mr Justice Page, Judge of the Arbitration Court, were voiced by advocates when the Court sat in Wellington yesterdaj. the lay members of the Court, Messrs A. L. Monteith and W. Cecil Prime, presiding. On behalf of the employers’ advocates, Mr T. O. Bishop expressed regret at his Honour’s indisposition and the fact that the Judge had found it necessary to apply for long leave of absence on account of ill health. He asked the members presiding to con,vey to his Honour the wishes of the employers’ advocates for the Judge’s speedy recovery.

Mr F. D. Cornwell, on behalf of the New Zealand Federation of Labour, joined with 1 Mr Bishop in expressing the hope that his Honour would be Quickly restored to health.

Mr A. W. Nisbett, on behalf of the Wellington Manufacturers’ Association,

supported the previous speakers. Mr Monteith said that on behalf of Mr Prime and himself he would be only too pleased to convey the expressions to his Honour. “His Honour has carried on at great sacrifice to himself

and at great pressure, and we who have watched his heroic effort to get through his work are sorry he is laid aside,” he said. “We hope it Is of a temporary nature and that he will soon be with us again.”
