JUDGMENT FOR DEFENDANT BOARD
(United Press Association) DUNEDIN, 17th December. Reserved decision was given in the ease in which Dr. Charles Francis de Monchaux sued the Otago Hospital Board for £43 8s 6d as salary for two weeks. Judgment was given for the defendant board. The Magistrate, Mr J. R. Bartholomew, said there could be no claim for damages as there was no breach by the board, and there could be no claim on the contract as, having been rescinded, it did not exist.
