MIGRATION OF NON-BRITONS
ALLAYING AUSTRALIAN ANXIETY LORD BARNBY REPLIES TO CORRESPONDENTS (United Press Association—By Electric ■ Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 26th November, 9.25 a.m.) LONDON, 25th November. Replying to correspondents’ anxiety at the prospect of migration of nonBritons to Australia, Lord Barnby, writing in the “Times,” says surely a moderate stream need cause no anxiety, because of the dominance of the British race and the characteristics of 'Australia. The splendid war record of almost entirely German communities in' South Australia is a reassuring precedent. He also refers favourably to the Greeks and Italians in Queensland.
