NATIONAL ORGANISATION SUGGESTED COMMITTEE SET UP (By Telegraph—Press Association* WELLINGTON, This Day. “It pleases to see people enthusiastic over their gardens. It is healthy enthusiasm for the nation,” said the Hon. W. E. Parry, Minister of Internal Affairs, when opening the Wellington Horticultural Rose Show.” The Government wishes to gather into a national organisation those men and women who are imbued with the idea uf beautifying their country,” Mr Parry said. The officers of various Government departments had been called together in conference and had decided to set up a committee to map out a policy for submission to a conference of beautifying societies and other organisations interested in the work. “We want men and women who will actually do the work, otherwise it will never he done,” said the Minister. “We have lectured to the school children enough. What about our doing the job? Bush was destroyed by grown people, not by children’. The best example we can give to children is to do the work.”
