Mr Isaac Patterson, of Reefton, a well-known barrister and solicitor, died this morning after a short illness. At a cocktail party held in the lounge and balcony at the Commercial Hotel last evening over 100 guests of Mr and Mrs George Hoby gathered to extend a hearty welcome to Mr G. A. B. Hoby, who has returned to Nelson after spending five years in England where he studied dentistry at Guy’s Hospital. London, obtaining the degree of L.D.S.R.C.S., Eng.
