ESCAPED PRISONERS
RECAPTURED by two warders IN KAIMANAWA RANGES (By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, This Day. Wet .through after spending the night in rain in the Kaimanawa Ranges, the two prisoners who escaped from the Hauta prison camp near Tokaanu were recaptured by two warders in the ranges this morning. The fugitives, John Booth Prchl, aged 26, and Richard de Thierry, aged 23, were tracked by warders, who found them 20 miles from the camp. They offered no resistance.
