OWNERSHIP OF LAKE
CONFERENCE BETWEEN PARTIES (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) AUCKLAND, This Day. The possibility of a conference between the parties concerning the ownership of Red Lake at Omapere, North Auckland, arising out of an appeal by the Crown against the judgment of Mr F. V. O. Acheson, Judge of the Native Land Court, in favour of the natives, was mentioned at a special sitting of the Native Appellate Court this morning. The presiding judges are Mr R. N. Jones and Mr C. E. McCormick. The Crown is represented by Mr V. R. Meredith, and the natives by Mr E. C. Blomfield. Counsel not objecting, the Court made a fixture for 28th July.
