OBITUARY
rc CAPTAIN J. H. BRADNEY (By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, This Day. There was sorrow on the waterfront at the news of the death, following an operation, of Captain J. H. Bradney, aged eighty-three years. In the early days he plied a rowing boat on the harbour, and fifty years ago founded a partnership with E. C. Binns as steamboat proprietors, which firm two years ago became Bradney and Sons. Born at Staffordshire, England, the Late Capt. Bradney was a member of the Harbour Board for nine years, and was elected to Parliament for Auckland West in 1911. He was an enthusiastic musician.
