DEFENCE OF DOMINION
DEFINITION OF GOVERNAIENT POLICY URGED
(United Press Association) MASTERTON, 22nd May. The opinion that a statement should be sought from the Government as to its 'attitude towards home defence was expressed yesterday by Mr Hugh Morilson, president of the Wairarapa provincial executive of the Faimeis Union. He considered that the interprovincial conference of the Earmeis Union next week should ask the Government to definite its policy. His view was that the Farmers’ Union should not attempt- to lay down any policy but just ask the Government for a statement. It was decided to send a remit on the lines suggested for discussion at the coining conference.
