TO URGE LIFTING OF E3IBARGO NOT TO BE ACCEDED TO (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copy right) (Received 23rd May. 2.0 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. ■ The New South Wales Fruit Growers’ Federation’s request that a Federal Minister be sent to New Zealand to urge tlie lifting of the fruit embargo could not bo acceded to, said the acting Minister for Commerce. The request followed the decision of the New Zealand Government not to he represented at the Australian Agricultural Council Meeting at Canberra.
