VICAR APOSTOLIC IN ABYSSINIA (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 23rd May, 2 p.m.) ROME; 22nd May. Dr. Suvich, of the Italian Foreign Ministry, informed France that M. Jarrousseau has been permitted to remain at Harar. General Graziani ordered the deportation of M. Jarrousseau, the Vicar Apostolic, who remained at the altar during the bombardment of Harar; but M. Jarrousseau declined to be moved except at the point of the bayonet and still remained at his post.
