INTER-ISLAND MATCH DRAWN (By Telegraph—Press Association) PALMERSTON N., 30th January. The Dominion croquet championship tourney is nearing completion in all sections with the exception of the open championship. Good progress was made to-day in warm sunshine. Results are as follow:

Inter-island match, remaining double: R. W. McCreath (Gore) and Mrs J. Palmer (Christchurch) beat F. L. Hartnell (New Plymouth) and A. J. Gibbs (Patea), 26-24. Open Championship.—First round: W. Tye beat Miss Keatley, 26-7, 23-26, 26-12; E. W. Veitcli beat Mrs Palmer, 22-26, 26-17, 26-12 • Mrs Henderson beat Mrs Dukes, 26-2, 26-2. Third round, A. J. Gibbs beat Mrs Wood, 26-19, 26-7; E. W. Yeitch beat R. W. McCreath, Women’s Championship, First Life.— Semi-final: Miss Skeet beat Mrs Watkins, 26-13. Final: Mrs Brass (Wanganui) beat Miss Skeet (Auckland), 26-17. Second life, third round: Mrs Anstis beat Miss Keatley, 26-23; Mrs Caldow beat Mrs Watkins, 26-19.

Championship Doubles. —Third round : Mrs D. 0. Henderson aiid F. L. Hartnell beat Mrs Clarke and IT. P. Stratton, 2621; Mesdames Anstis and Petrie beat Mesdames Pitcaithly and Gambrill, 2619.
