OFFERINGS AT MELBOURNE SEASON’S RECORD FOR MERINO (United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copy r ight) (Received 30th January, 11.45 mm.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The wool sales were resumed. Competition and prices reflected the satisfactory conditions ruling in other cenfres recently. Values for all good and average descriptions of Merinos and comebacks showed a rise of sto 7i pei cent ion pre-Christmas dosing rates. Medium crossbreds were unchanged. Merino wool sold to 25d, a record toi the season. COMPETITION ACTIVE AT LONDON (Received 30th January, 12.45 p.m.) LONDON, 29th January. At the wool sales 10,380 bales were offered, including 4302 New Zealand, and 9685 Australian and New Zealand were sold. Competition was active and a good selection was well cleared fully at current rates. New Zealand greasy crossbred T’iti top 13J,d, average lOd.
