Following an extensive tour of the United States, including visits to the principal industrial centres, Sir Wallace Bruce, South Australia, informed the Australian Associated Press that among matters with which lie was particularly impressed was the maintenance of the efficiency of secondary industries despite the depression, and the amicable relationship between industry and labour at this crucial period of general recovery. Sir Wallace indicated that he felt that the present upward improvement had finally become stable and would probably continue, although it was possibly being retarded somewhat by the uncertainty of the political position and the increase iii Government expenditures.
