TOURIST TRAFFIC

CONFERENCE AT AUCKLAND lION. F. LANGSTONE TO ATTEND (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. An important conference of tourist interests is to be opened in Auckland on 4th February by the Minister in Charge of the Tourist and Publicity Department (the Hon. F. Langstone). It will be held under the auspices of the New Zealand Tourist League, and representatives of all organisations actively interested in the various phases of tourist traffic are to be present at the conference. Many matters of current importance will be submitted to the conference by local bodies and organisations associated directly or indirectly with the question. The Minister will leave Wellington on Saturday afternoon for the north,and will spend Monday at Te Kuiti inspecting a number of the Lands Department’s small farms development schemes. In file evening he will receive a number of deputations from local bodies.
