IN THE WAIMEAS
A WONDERFUL DAIRYING SEASON Not for very many years has such a favourable dairying- season been experienced in the Waimeas.'' 'Except, t’or the dry spell in the Spring 1 which checked early growth so seriously, there has been no dearth of rainfall and consequently feed at the present time is abundant and the stock in splendid' condition. Harvesting operations are now commencing and a spell of fine weather would be very welcome so that the crops may be saved in good condition.
Viewed from the. hillsides or from an aeroplane the plain just now presents a wonderful sight with its mult: coloured squares of green and yellow It was noticed that a ’plane made several flights over the Waimeas on Thursday and passengers must have seen a really gorgeous display on the plains.
