STATUTORY HALF HOLIDAY

SATURDAY FIXED FOR WAIMEA COUNTY The Waimea County Council held a special meeting at noon to-day to fix the statutory half holiday , for the County area. The chairman (Councillor ,T. Oorder) said the Saturday half holiday seemed to meet with general approval and no requests had been made for any change. He moved that the. half-holiday be recognised on Saturdays. The motion avas seconded by Councillor F. W. Gibbs and carried.
