ATTACKED BY A BULL

FARMER SERIOUSLY INJURED (By Telegraph—Press Association) HASTINGS, 19th April. Through being gorecl by a Jersey bull, an elderly man, Jack Irwin, aged 74, of Hastings, is in hospital suffering from serious injuries. This afternoon he was repairing a fence on his farm property, the bull being in the paddock where lie was working. The animal approached Irwin, who threw a hammer he was using at the hull. It immediately gored him, throwing him through the fence Irwin crawled a quarter of a mile to the nearest house for help. He is suffering from broken ribs, and one cf his lungs is affected.
