BISHOP OF MELANESIA
VISITING NEW ZEALAND (By Telegraph— Presß Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. Bishop Baddeley, of Melanesia, arrived to-day by the Wanganella from Sydney to attend the General Synod which opens at Napier to-morrow. Afterwards he will make a short tour of the Dominion speaking at Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, Greymouth, Oamaru, Tima.ru, Wanganui, Palmerston North, Hamilton, and Auckland. In an interview he made enthusiastic comment regarding the new vessel Southern Cross VII which, he said, in three months since her arrival had travelled just over 6500 miles taking hoys to central schools and transporting teachers.
