FALLING DERRICK

THREE WATERSIDERS INJURED (By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, This Day. Three waterside workers were seriously injured by a falling derrick on the motorship Port Fremantle at Queen s wharf this morning. They are Alex Williams (62), a fractured skull; Arthur Harman (51) a fractured skull; William Baw injuries to the hack. The men were lowering the derrick ready for work when the weight of it ran away from them. Baw was struck by the heel of a block and the other two by flying wire. Several others standing nearby scattered and escaped.
