VISIT TO WEST COAST
MINISTER OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS

HOKITIKA, This Day.
The Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle, Minister of Internal Affairs, arrived on Saturday evening, later receiving deputations on various matters, particularly in regard to itourist aud acclimatisation matters. In the course of his repiarks in reply to expressions of sympathy in the continued illness of Sir Joseph Ward, the Minister stated that he did not consider it sporting that some individuals and some newspapers should say or think that the Prime Minister should relinquish his position because of ill-health. Every member of the Cabinet is pulling his fuli weight and the country was not suffering as a result of the illness. The Minister proceeds to South Westland, visiting the Franz Josef and Fox glaciers, and returns this evening, travelling on to Greymouth and proceeding to Westport next day.
