MOTUEKA ELECTORATE
MR HUDSON There was a good attendance in tli3 Murehison public hall on Wednesday evening, when Mr Hudson was accorded a most attentive hearing. He devoted most of his time to making a reply to statements made by the United Party concerning the national debt, taxation, Police Offences Amendment Act, Government grants to Auckland and Nelson pi evinces, amounts advanced to settlers in those provinces, etc.
At the conclusion of his address a few questions were asked and duly answered. A vote of thanlcs was carried most heartily, the mover stating his conviction that, in view of Mr Hudson's splendid services to this district, confidence in him would be expressed at the ballot. Mr Hudson will speak at Takaka this evening, and to-morrow evening at the Institute Hall, Motueka. MR G. C. BLACK Mr G. C. Black will speak as follows: To-morrow: Upper Moutere school, 6 p.m.; Riwaka Hall, 7.30 p.m.; Motueka (Horticultural Hall), 8.45 p.m.
