THE NELSON CONTEST
CANDIDATES' MEETINGS MR 11. ATMORE Mi' If. Aimure will speak at the Toi Toi Valley schoolroom this evening, and at Ihe Theatre ({oval to-morrow evening. The meetings will commence at 8 (/clock. MR F. W. 0. SMITH Mr F. W. o'. Smith addressed the electors at the Tahuna public hall-oil Saturday evening. There was a good attendance and Mr Grecnslade, chairman (if the Town Board, occupied the chair. The candidate spoke for an hour and a half upon the lines of former addresses, and received a most attentive hearing. At the close a number of questions were asked and answered, after which Mr T. Robinson proposed a hearty vote of thanks to Mr Smith for his' most interesting address. This was seconded by Air J. Jellyman arid carried by acclamation.
A vote of thanks to the chairman lei initiated the proceedings.
Mr F. W. 0. Smith will address the electors at the Theatre Royal this evening'and at Richmond to-morrow evening.
