Martha Serivens was sentenced Io two months’ imprisonment at Nuneaton for neglecting her children, aged eight and four. She went to Babbery Fair and left them foodless, and without fire until bile at night, sold the eldest for half a pint of beer to a caravan dweller, and tried to give the youngest away.
